Singapore Airlines was named the Best Airline Asia at the 2011 World Airline Awards, in a ceremony held in the French Air and Space Museum at the Paris Air Show.

In a typically competitive region the top-3 airlines were all previous winners of the Airline of the Year award. Singapore Airlines once again proved to be a popular choice with passengers with last year's winner Asiana Airlines finishing in 2nd place with the group completed by Cathay Pacific of Hong Kong.
