Low-Cost Airline in North America for 2011 |

Virgin America was named the Best Low-Cost Airline North America for
customer Product and Service Quality at the 2011 World Airline Awards, in a ceremony held at the Paris Air Show.
The runners-up in this Best Low-Cost Airline North America are WestJet taking 2nd place in the category, ahead of
Frontier Airlines in 3rd position.

WestJet is currently the second largest Canadian air carrier, operating an average of 425
flights and carrying over 45,000 passengers. The airline has over 8,000 employees, and operates
aircraft from the Boeing 737 family. WestJet is based at Calgary International Airport, with
another large hub at Toronto Pearson International Airport, in Ontario.

Frontier Airlines is an American airline headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States.
The carrier operates flights to 83 destinations throughout the United States, Mexico, and Costa
Rica and maintains hubs at Denver International Airport, Milwaukee's General Mitchell
International Airport, Kansas City International Airport, and Omaha's Eppley Airfield. It
provides regional service to the surrounding Rocky Mountain States through a code-share
agreement with Great Lakes Airlines.
